How to Earn Reputation Points

When you share your expertise via answers to questions in the Q&A Forum, you will build reputation points. The more answers you provide, the more reputation points you earn. The point system encourages more points for those answers that the rest of the Community finds most helpful.

Points for Your Questions

  • Earn 1 point each time a user votes up your question. 
  • No points are removed if your question is voted down. 

Points for Your Answers

  • Earn 5 points each time a user votes up your answer indicating they find it useful. 
  • Earn 15 points each time an author or moderator marks your answer as the Best Answer.
  • Lose 1 point each time a user votes down your answer. 

Answers will typically only be voted down if there is incorrect information or another member disagrees with your answer. 

Where Are Reputation Points Displayed?

Your reputation points are displayed on your under your User Profile in Q&A Forums, Brainstorms, and in the article author area.

Floyd Walterhouse is a very familiar name in the Workday Community. He is a super star in Workday Community. Those who login to the community would have at least once benefited by his solutions or ideas.

I am not exaggerating,  he knows stuff more than any Workday resource out there.

Currently he works with McKee Foods Corporation. And is a member of Workday Community for the past 13 years.

He is the first ever Workday Community member to achieve 50,000 reputation points , currently with 68k points. With his contributions, innovative brainstorm ideas, and member support over the years he gained a great respect in the community.

Looking at his activity, he certainly spends some time on Community every single day! It could be helping others, posting an innovative brainstorm idea or suggesting best practices and much more.
